The longest bridge of Europe and Russia open

After 3 years of work, The bridge between Russia and Crimean has been opened. It is the longest bridge in Europe with 19 km.

This “project of the century” completes what Mr Putin has framed as Russia’s historic reunification with Crimea four years after it was seized from Ukraine in the wake of a pro-Western revolution there.

The bridge may offer some relief for residents of the peninsula, who largely supported annexation but have suffered high prices for food and goods after deliveries from Ukraine were stopped. Sanctions have cut off trade with the rest of the world.

Before the commissioning of the bridge in the transport blockade imposed by Ukraine, the main routes to and from the Crimea were Kerch-Taman ferry line and air transport. However, the capacity of the ferry line is limited, which led to long delays on crossing during the peak of the tourist season, as well as during storms in the Kerch Strait

Making a break in the walk

Writing a blog is like writing a journey. It is like a travel. You discover new cities, new regions or new scenaries. You can stop and look where you was, the path you walk and look where you have to go.

When you stop you can be encouraged or discouraged. You can see : wow I was there and I walk this path. You can look where you want to go.

Now let’s look behind. This blog is the second version. It has been started in 2017· Read the first post

Read the goal of this blog in 2017

Changing the host will help me to write more often. Now I can open back office without waiting long seconds and sometimes having error page.  This is a new step.

Now I will write again the goal of this blog in 2018. It is globaly the same with tiny change.

Goals in 2018

  • Write in english. Yes this is still the main target. This has not changed. I know that I write with mistake but I will try to write more and more with less and less mistake.
  • Publish to the world. I think about that goal. Because Is it still the case ? Internet is changing. Today blog is not fashionable anymore. People are behind wall with their applications on their smartphone. The dream to publish something and 1000 people read it will maybe never targeted. I should reconsider this goal. I would say I keep it but its importance is lower.
  • Promoting things that is valuable. Yes !!! that is still ok. I can dream. I will change the world. Maybe not. Probably not. Certainly not. But maybe I could touch someone. I could make someone thinking. What is valuable. Real value is inside and invisible. Joy, peace, harmony. Given something, teaching something, learning something.

Content

  • Photos. I will put more photos. Thank you for your goods words about the photos I publish. All photos are taken by myself or maybe 99%. I just want to share emotions via just a photos. I am just lucky to live in a photogenic part of the world (Switzerland) and it is really easy to take a camera and … clic. Today with smartphone with have always a camera in our pocket.
  • Switzerland I like to share information about Switzerland. Not only positive information but also critical one. It is not objective but subjective. I am not a tourist information, I am not making marketing for Switzerland. And I don’t receive anything for writing nice information for promoting something. I am free to write how I feel. This blog is not popular enough to have paid article. I am writing it for free.
  • Music Yes I will continue to share music I like but maybe a little less I would like. Music is so important in my life. I am still an eternal teenager. Music touch my soul.
  • Thinkings  Hard to create a category thinking. Thinking will be in all categories. This is the goal of this blog. Writing thought. Writing reflexion. I hope that will lead to inspiration. Sometimes, I am missing inspiration to write. I need inspiration to gives you inspiration.
  • Technical things tutorial, technical article, computing will be still here. Why just because I want to share what I found. Because digital life is part of my live and my work. I don’t know if you notice it but the world is changing. Digital is all our life today. I will share you free and open source software and phylosophy. But I am a moderate librist. I will talk about tools I use. I will write about ActivityPub (New social network who is now federated), Zot and Hubzilla with nomadic identity and few other tools and tutorial
  • My life Why not sharing more of my life. You can choose to share personal photos on facebook or instagram.  You think it is private but actually it is not really. Publishing publicly is clear. All the world can read hear and see. Talking about my life helps me to see reality clear. Sometimes things are complicated.

 

Conclusion. Normaly we should have one target and one audience. You have photo blog, political blog or technical blog. This one is a kind of mixture. I know this is not good but I am like this. Maybe in the future I will make one blog for photography, one other for IT and one other for changing the world. But now in 2018 it is like that. I hope that something will be usefull for someome. How to move a multisite wordpress to a single side wordpress ?

This blog needs to be moved. He is presently hosted in an american webhost Dreamhost. This host is nice. You can have lot of web space. But sometimes workpress needs more power or the delay between Europe and USA suck.

So I decided to move it to OVH.

The limit of my OVHh host is the database. I only have one database and it is limited to 200Mega. I can put many domains so if you use many wordpress on one database prefix is needed. As I installed wordress with default prefix how to process.

Before doing the move work. I should know how to do it.

 

1. rename the tables manualy.

 

Rename table wp_commentmeta to new_commentmeta;
Rename table wp_comments to new_comments;
Rename table wp_links to wplabo_links;
Rename table wp_options to new_options;
Rename table wp_postmeta to new_postmeta;
Rename table wp_posts to new_posts;
Rename table wp_termmeta to new_termmeta;
Rename table wp_terms to new_terms;
Rename table wp_term_relationships to new_term_relationships;
Rename table wp_term_taxonomy to new_term_taxonomy;
Rename table wp_usermeta to new_usermeta;
Rename table wp_users to new_users;

2. manual change in table wp_options and wp_usermata

search in wp_option the value user_roles in the field options_name

SELECT *  FROM `kris_options` WHERE `option_name` LIKE '%user_roles%'
and change the prefix like new_user_roles
SELECT * FROM `kris_usermeta` WHERE `meta_key` LIKE ‘%wp_%’
Change all wp_ by your new prefix new_

3. copy the sources localy

By ftp copy all sources in a local directory.

4. copy the sources to the new site

5. Change the wp_config

After transfering the new wp_config by ftp. Your new site should be working on your new host.

Morges is situated in the western part of Switzerland between Lausanne and Geneva. The city was build by Louis de Savoie in 1286.

The castle in the south of the town square was built with a square floor plan and four round corner towers. It resembles the castle of Yverdon, which may have served as a model for Morges Castle.

 

On of the beautiful place to walk is the lake promenade. You can see the Mont Blanc

The city’s annual Tulip Festival celebrates the return of spring with 100,000 tulips in beds remarkable for their colour, in the 30,000m2 of the Parc de l’Indépendance.

In 2009 Adam Young launch the project Owl City.  Adam Young described the song as « a little song about bugs and not being able to fall asleep at night. The song is built around a « bleepy » synthline and includes lyrics about insomnia, fireflies and summer.

I like this kind of music and melody because it remind me the melody and the style of music I like in my childhood. Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Kraft Werk was pioneer of electronic music. It is like today electronic music still exists. I prefer with kind melody and colorfull music. For example I discovered recently Family Force 5 with This is my Year  This kind of music could be run in the end of 70s and today it is fashionable again.

Basel

Located where the Swiss, French and German borders meet, Basel also has suburbs France and Germany. The Basel agglomeration was the third largest in Switzerland with a population of 537 000

The city is known for its many internationally renowned museums, ranging from the Art Museam Kunstmuseaum. Basel has often been the site of peace negotiations and other international meetings. The name of Basel is derived from the Roman-era toponym Basilia. The Old French form Basle was adopted into English, and developed into the modern French Bâle. The language spoken in Basel is german first or specificaly swiss german. The second language is Italian and franch.

Mulhouse

Mulhouse

Mulhouse is situated at the corner near Germany and Switzerland. You can read Germany by car in 30 mn and Switzerland (Basel) for the same period of time. This city count 112 000 inhabitants and the metropolitan area if you add suburb you have 280 000 people.

Mulhouse is famous for its museums particularly the automobile museum (Musée national de l’automobile) and the train museum (Musée du chemin de fer). The largest automobile and railway museum in the world.

Mulhouse is also an industrial city from the 19s century. Today you have automobile industry Peugeot who is still in activity.

The city center is interesting with colorfull houses.

This is the city house (hotel de ville) it is written that Mulhouse was attached to France in 1798. Before that date it was part of Switzerland. You still can see flag of swiss canton as decoration

Place Saint Etienne in the city Center
